Internacional Seminar on "The Secular State and Religious Freedom”

Purpose: To deepen the sense of secularity of the State over the religious factor as a component of the human dimension, in order to provide elements for understanding the legal issues involving the relationship between Church and State, both as regards to the legal consequences of separation between them, as well as in relation to the forms and limits of mutual cooperation and the guarantee of respect for religious freedom in a pluralistic and democratic State of law.

Objetivo: Aprofundar  o assunto da laicidade do Estado em relação ao fator religioso como componente da dimensão humana, de modo a oferecer elementos para a compreensão das questões jurídicas que envolvem as relações entre a Igreja e o Estado, tanto no que diz respeito às consequências jurídicas da separação entre ambos, quanto em relação às formas e limites da cooperação mútua e da garantia do respeito à liberdade religiosa num Estado plural e democrático de direito.
